Yeah...I mean it's still not confirmed that he's definitely gonna take-over (the deal has to get past UK regulators first), but tbh I'm not too sure about the company anyway. I think they're low-balling me with their offer and I didn't really like the manager who interviewed me.

I've already sold out to a megacorp. I've been working for said megacorp for the best part of three years. It's okay. Good points and bad points. The project I'm working on right now is a steaming pile of shit though, which is why I'm looking to move.

Yeah, Midlands are much more affordable than London - however as a result, the salaries are lower too. By going from working in a bank in London to a gamedev company in Midlands, I'd almost certainly be taking a pay cut - but I'm at a point in my life where (as privileged as it sounds) I don't give a crap.

I have a Skype interview with the CTO next week...fingers crossed...
